Email sending has been improved to minimise the amount of email that goes to spam

For customers on our Core or Professional plans email sent out of Loc8 will now be sent using a unique email address that is automatically created with your Loc8 account as opposed to being sent using your company email address

For customers on our Enterprise plan there is no immediate change in behaviour however our customer success team will be in touch with you to transition you over to the new solution

As many of our users will be aware, Adobe will discontinue support of Flash Player on the 31st of December 2020, and will subsequently block all use on the 12th of January 2021 (Read more from Adobe). To prepare for this we have been actively replacing the remaining areas of Loc8 that run on Flash for the last 18 months, and are well on track for a full cut over to HTML before the End-of-Life date on the 31st. The following points detail the final replacement activity to be aware of in Loc8

We've just updated Loc8 with new and improved features, including:

• Many small UI tweaks have been rolled out across the app to improve usability on tablet devices
• It is now possible to refresh Loc8 using the browser (i.e. Chrome) refresh button whilst retaining currently selected workspace, views, filters and so on
• When you edit a field, for example Alternate contact on a job, the listed contacts are filtered to only show those relevant to the job you are editing
• When managing your workspace views, you can now filter out those that are yours and those that are shared with you. In addition, for shared views, you can also see the name of the owner
• 12+ usability improvements throughout the app
• 17+ bug fixes and other minor improvements

Subscription addons, lab features and enterprise solutions are now visible via the Usage and Billing settings area, as well as from the main navigation menu.

For customers on our Professional plan addons can be managed and enabled on the spot and no longer require you to contact us. Most are available with a free 7 day trial.

Quotes and Invoices both now support terms and conditions, which effectively allows you to define an arbitrary block of text that will appear at the bottom of of the document

The regions addon has been extended to support automatic region association for all major entities, including quotes, jobs, invoices, projects, sites, assets, customers and workforce.

Previously only quotes, jobs, assets or sites that were created or updated would be automatically associated to regions where their location fell within a region boundary. This behaviour has now been extended.

Exploring your data in all major workspaces has been simplified through a few usability improvements

• The search input has been relocated to the very top of each workspace, and is always on display rather than being hidden behind a search button
• The workspace filters, column selector, and row grouping selector are all now hidden by default, and shown simply by clicking on Sort and refine
• Workspace columns can now be re-ordered at your discretion

Creating, exploring and managing workspace views has been improved with the introduction of a range of new default views, functions and a new interface

• The display and management of views has been relocated into the new workspace context menu
• Each workspace now includes a range of new default views to help provide better visibility of your data. Each of these default views is favourited out of the box, however you can un-favourite them if you would prefer to only show your custom views
• All of your favourite views are pinned in the context menu for any given workspace, including a count for the number of results for that view
