We've just updated Loc8 with new and improved features, including:

The Email someone about this, Open web view and Export this functions for an individual quote, job, invoice, asset, site or project have been consolidated into a single Share and export panel that is accessed by clicking on the existing share button.

From the Share and export panel, you can now choose to

• Export or email a PDF (previously accessed via Export)
• Copy or email a link to a public web view that anyone can access (previously accessed via Open web view)
• Copy or email a link to the private web view for authenticated users, technicians and contractors in your workforce (the in-app inspector page you're likely sharing from)

You'll now be notified if someone updates something you're looking at, across all major Loc8 workspaces, be it a quote, job, invoice, asset etc.

If you are looking at a quote for example, and another person (or multiple people, or an external integration) happen to be working on it at the same time, as soon as they make a change you'll be notified in near real time that someone has updated the quote.

We've just updated Loc8 with new and improved features, including:

• Users and technicians can be temporarily or permanently 'disabled'

• When adding tasks to a job it's now possible to specify how many instances of that task to add

To help you manage how and when your workforce can access Loc8, you can now disable users and technicians from the workforce area which effectively prevents them from being able to log in to Loc8 to access data, perform work and so on.

When a user or technician is disabled, all of their data is retained, and they can be re-enabled again at any time.

• Manual address entry throughout Loc8. This was something that was highly requested from customers, we now support both look-up via Google Maps or manual entry if you can't find the address.

Continuing the recent focus on migrating legacy Adobe Flash workspaces over to HTML, the invoice workspace has been entirely rebuilt with an all-new interface to bring it inline with the look and feel of the quote, job, and asset workspaces. Beyond the new interface there are also a host of other improvements to make invoicing easier and more useful.

Invoicing will now work independently of a financial integration, which means that you can now create, send and manage invoices standalone in Loc8. This was a highly requested feature, and is a cornerstone improvement for us to be able to deliver a full end to end field service solution for our customers.

Please note that inline with supporting stand-alone invoicing, invoice statuses have changed.

Along with with these changes we have also rolled out two brand new Xero and QuickBooks Online integrations that support the new invoicing functionality and workflows.

Tax support has been added to quotes and jobs in order to support standard business practice for our customers, whilst also enabling a much cleaner flow of financial values between quotes, jobs and invoices.

Along with this, we have also introduced support for multiple tax types with standardised naming and availability of ‘Total tax’, ‘Total including tax’ and ‘Total excluding tax’ fields across the quote, job and invoice workspaces.

Please note that these changes impact the names of fields and columns in workspaces, reports and exports.
