Continuing the recent focus on migrating legacy Adobe Flash workspaces over to HTML, the invoice workspace has been entirely rebuilt with an all-new interface to bring it inline with the look and feel of the quote, job, and asset workspaces. Beyond the new interface there are also a host of other improvements to make invoicing easier and more useful.

Invoicing will now work independently of a financial integration, which means that you can now create, send and manage invoices standalone in Loc8. This was a highly requested feature, and is a cornerstone improvement for us to be able to deliver a full end to end field service solution for our customers.

Please note that inline with supporting stand-alone invoicing, invoice statuses have changed.

Along with with these changes we have also rolled out two brand new Xero and QuickBooks Online integrations that support the new invoicing functionality and workflows.

Tax support has been added to quotes and jobs in order to support standard business practice for our customers, whilst also enabling a much cleaner flow of financial values between quotes, jobs and invoices.

Along with this, we have also introduced support for multiple tax types with standardised naming and availability of ‘Total tax’, ‘Total including tax’ and ‘Total excluding tax’ fields across the quote, job and invoice workspaces.

Please note that these changes impact the names of fields and columns in workspaces, reports and exports.

Date / time based automation rules are now supported for both Jobs and Assets, including minute and hour offsets.

One of our top-requested features, this allows you to set up automation rules that fire before or after the date and time of a specific field, such as automatically sending a notification email 5 minutes after a job has been created, or 2 hours before it is due.

Upload and display avatars for everyone in your workforce as a simple yet powerful way to quickly identify assignees at a glance. If you use contractors as a part of your workforce, using their logo as their avatar is also great way to differentiate them from internal technicians.

Technicians can add their own avatars from the Loc8 mobile app (make sure to update to the newest version), and Users can add avatars for themselves and others from the workforce area.
